My family brought a kerosene heater two days ago, and there is a really strong kerosene smell in my clothes. I don't want to be embarrassed when I attend class, and smell like kerosene. The smell is making my headache and is making me nauseous. Is there anything I can do quickly to get this smell out of my clothes or at least make the smell less stronger?

Febreeze makes a product for the laundry it's called "Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator". It will do the trick for you. Here's the web site www.newfebreze.com

Don't waste your money on fabreze and all that other crap. Having worked handling all types of fuel all my life while in the military, I know only one sure way to get that smell out of the clothes.

You need to use a regular laundry detergent and wash them in hot water 5 or 6 times and then hang them outside for a day or two. Works everytime.

Don't know why it works but Pine-sol, Mr. Clean, Lysol, any multi-purpose cleaner in a bottle, not spray bottle, in the laundry when your washing gets the smell out. Use a cupful along with your reg. detergent. It works for urine smells so I imagine it would work for any smell that's clung to your clothes like glue.

Febreeze for the laundry doesn't work for kerosene/gas/oil smells. I tried that already.

Hope it works for ya. :-)

The oil spill is undesirable. BP advantages a spanking. they at the instant are no longer extremely doing something to attempt to end the spreading that works. unfavourable beaches and fish and birds and human beings too! i think of of the reaction to the oil spill is entirely too slow. The oil hasn't stopped leaking and many that's spilling out each and each minute. suffering with an oil spill like it rather is extremely complicated and purely approximately impossible, yet somebody could desire to choose to a minimum of attempt something.
