Can I just put it in the washer w/some bleach and soap? It's clear (the curtain itself is white) and it's getting kind of moldy and mildewy. Is there a safe way to clean it? I already sprayed some Lysol on it. I tried to wipe it down and it didn't work. This kind of relates to one of my earlier questions. Thanks for the good advice, and thanks for not laughing at my stupid questions. :)

A friend told me that switching laundry detergents was good for your clothes. She said if you use the same detergent over and over, the ingredients in the detergent would start to break down the fibers in the clothing, leaving them thinner. She also said switching detergents could help remove stains. Is this true?

not one of them did. I don't think it needs to be done weekly, or even monthly but maybe a few times a year. Am I just being a neat freak or do I have a point. Be honest girls, do you vacuum your mattress at all, ever???

I've already had the suit drycleaned which has reduced the marks quite a lot, but they're still visible. Is there a handy tip someone can give me?

I have a Hotpoint Electronic 1000 Plus washing machine. Just recently, when I (well, ok the girlfriend...) use it, the clothes come out very hot and smell like they haven't been washed properly.

Any ideas please. My girlfriend is going crazy about it!
Thanks.

We just bought a house and it came with a microwave... needless to say, it had so much bacon grease inside that it really smells! I've cleaned it numerous times, and I've left baking soda in it for a week to hopefully soak up the odor. I suspect some bacon grease made it into a top vent inside the microwave. Recommendations glady accepted... thanks to all, and ten points will be awarded.

I just heard people saying that you can use starch to iron clothes.

What kind of starch? how to mix with water? how much starch, and how much water? do you need to boil them?

How to applied on clothes? (spray, paint? ??)

I just applied some starch on my clothes and then iron them?

**The whole question is about how to start from 'zero' ?**

I know nothing about starch (never use it / touch it / see it). All I know it's starch can be use for ironing clothes, but I don't know how.

Please come back for possible updates of this question.
Please give me the answer, do just give me the links and tell me to search it.

Thank you^^!

I'm wondering how it works and if it is any more or less expensive than ordinary detergents you buy at the store.

Every recipe I have found requires washing soda, borax, and Ivory soap. I have borax and the soap, but my local stores don't carry washing soda. Is there a way to make laundry detergent without it? How? Thanks so much!
