Use cascade dishwasher detergent. It's coarse enough to break through the burnt areas. If you don't want to scrub, soak the bottom of the burnt pan with a little warm water and Cascade. Otherwise, just scrub a little cascade and it will clean right up.

Good Luck!

The only thing that has helped to some degree was Easy Off oven cleaner. I clean all my pots, pans and burner plates with this. Works most of the time, but now one pot is only for popcorn too:-)

Pour half a cup of vinegar and water to cover and leave it overnight. Then take a SOS pad and clean the burned popcorn off the pan. If the pan has teflon in it use a fiber plastic scrubby.

soak it in hot water overnight, then use a wire pan scrubber or sos pad. If it's a cheap pan it's probably too much trouble and you should just throw it out. It will never be the same after that.

pour 3 cups vinegar and 1 cup baking soda, it will foam up, but let it set overnight and it will work most if not all of it out.
