I have tried it and it works amazingly well. I hate to sounds like an ad but...really! We were given a fancy antique white tablecloth at our wedding and a few weeks later a houseguest spilled pickled herring (not my favorite - he brought it) in some red sauce on the fancy tablecloth. We tried to soak and and tried those spread and wash things. Nothing worked. We put it in the closet and forgot about it for like five years. I remembered it we got a can of the OxyClean. Brought it out...badabing! After five years dried on there - the tablecloth was entirely clean.
BTW - I think they sell similar stuff in the store now like at Orchard Supply. So you don't need to get it from TV. Comparison shop it.

I use it all the time! It gets most stains out for me. I even soaked a load of baby clothes that had been packed away for about a year, and most all of the yellow "baby spit" stains came out. When the stains are really bad, like the baby clothes, I start the washing machine but leave the washing machine lid open and just let them soak over night in laundry soap and oxy-clean. I also soaked about 7 vintage kitchen dish towels that came in the bottom of a box from an auction, so I don't know how long the stains had been there. There was a considerable difference after the oxy-clean. For me, it seems to work better than anything else I've tried. I get the powder kind at the grocery store. I probably use a little more than what is recommended. I'm not much on measuring! I don't know if it's more or less expensive. I don't look at the price of the other stuff. I just get the oxy-clean.

I was actually surprised to see negative posts to this question. My experience with Oxyclean was VERY positive. I had a sweat shirt that had been dried with an ink pen. There was ink EVERY where! On top of the fact that the shirt had already been dried with the stain in place, I was sure it was destined for the trash. BUT, it was my favorite sweat shirt. Someone recommended the Oxyclean and I'll be darned if that stuff didn't take out probably 90% of that stain. Ever since then, I keep a healthy stock of the stuff on hand.

Oxyclean does work...but there are some good oxyproducts out on the open market now that work just as well... the best part about those is you don't have to pay postage and handling and you don't have to wait any longer to use it than it takes you to get to the market. My mom uses the oxy cleaner she finds in the dollar store near her house and it works just as well. I now live in the Netherlands and there are a few brands in the stores here as well. I don't know if it's in the states..but Vanish makes an oxy cleaner over here and they make it in various forms for different jobs. Bottom line is..you don't have to send away to get a good cleaner like oxyclean when there are others on the open market that work just as well.

I use oxyclean all the time but not the detergent just the additive that I use in colored clothes. Never tried the oxyclean ball and probably won't.

I find that it works wonderfully. You have to mix it right before you use it for cleaning spots or stains. If you soak stains in it, they almost always come out. If you want really clean clothes, dissolve a scoop of oxyclean in a couple of cups of hot water and add it to your wash along with your usual detergent ... then after it's agitated awhile, stop it and let it soak ... your wash will be super clean!

I swear i don't work for the company but i love the product. I use the powder and mix it in hot water. It will take any stain out. No lie - my neighbor called me this weekend saying her daughter spilled grape juice on the carpet - could I help. She knows I use this stuff. It completely removed the stain. I've had the same container for over a year. I also put some in a little squirt bottle with water and keep in in the laundry room for quick spills. Try it - its worth the $5. You can get it at any Target etc.

I use it with my detergent, but I bought the stain remover, too. The stain remover is AMAZING!!! When used as directed, it works on just about anything. Another one that works better is Dreft. The baby stain remover in the spray bottle. It doesn't seem to have a scent, so if you can get past buying baby stain remover it's great. It got spit-up stains out of baby clothes my mom gave me that have set for eleven years!

The price is about the same as regular detergents, but the best part is that it really works.
