toss it in the washer with a big sheet or couple of towels on the gentle cycle, raise lid & let it soak a hour or so & when finished washing hang it outdoors or back on the shower rod. After taking a shower, always pull the shower curtain closed-as if you were taking a shower & it'll keep the mildew & mold from forming. It'll still get dirty in time so every couple of months remove and wash again, it'll keep a healthy environment, mold & mildew can become toxic.

Put it in the washer and use 1-2 cups of vinegar with it. The vinegar will eat the scum away.

Yes you can just put in your washer with detergent and bleach. Hang it up to drip dry, don't put it in your dryer.
