Cleaning & Laundry - October 2006

I washed some laundry. Most was dry and smelled fine, but the load included a couple of old, mildewed towels. Now EVERYTHING smells bad.

I'm up for trying anything as long as it won't ruin the clothes. Thanks.

What if trash bins are a mile away and you live on 2nd floor apartment?

He leaves trash piling up for a week or more.

Also the laundry is a mile away also and we live on 2nd floor how do I get him to help with that instead of leaving for a week?

Sorry yahoo doesn't let you comment on own question!!

I finally got around to pulling my family's guns out of storage before the winter hit. I was dissappointed to find that when my father took them and put them in there he neglected to have a moisture absorber put in the cabinet with them. I found one of our antique piece's sling covered in white mold. I was able to get the mold off of it, but there are still some significant mold stains on it. Its a light tan chamois color, so its extremely noticable, and when I clean it, the cleaner cannot discolor or stain it, this is a vintage 1800s piece, and the sling has been certified to be the original, and will reduce the value of it if it has to be removed.

Anyone have experience in leather cleaning?

I Tryed to wash my mirror in my dorm room with some clorox desinfecting wipes and the whole this has like water lines all over it. I can see into the mirror if i stand close but it's not as clear as it once was. Trying to look into it from far away is almost impossible.

How do I clean my mirror without getting these left pver water marks.

I want the collars on my polo shirts and my button down shirts to stay nice and straight. None of that curling business. So I guess I am supposed to iron them with starch (is what i've been reading). What kind of starch do you use, and how do you apply it? Can it be used on dark shirts, or only white shirts? Any other tricks for keeping the collars from getting out of shape? (other than hang drying, I already know that one). thanks!

I love the birds, but not their crap! And I can't move the feeders, because I live in a town house, and so there's pretty much only one place to put them. Any advice would be so great--thanks!

I made some wonderful potatoes the other night, but scorched my dish.
It's soaked a couple days, and I still can't get it off.
Tried powder also, but to no avail.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Do you just scrape off that pesky dried out egg that sticks to the spatula and put it in the drawer, or do you re-wash it?
Just wondering...
