Put bleach in place of detergent and put on hot/hot wash normal cycle or whitest whites. Let it run the full course. This will clean and disinfect from mildew and mold and anything else. You can also use a damp cloth or sponge with mild soap and wipe off interior and door. Don't use clorox sprays or lysol or other harsh things.

the best way i know is to put your washing powder in normal place, and then put machine on a hot wash. That will clean it. This way is recommended by most manufacturers. Just clean the outside of machine with warm soapy water. Check your filter too, after the machine has ended the program, you will be surprised how much rubbish there will be inside. By putting the machine on a hot wash and letting it run, you will be removing the limescale too.
Hope this helps.

You can buy a commercial cleaner, they're usually near the dishwasher cleaner tabs at the supermarket.

Other than that, I usually just take a damn cloth and give each crevice a good wipe. Especially the washing detergent drawer.
