Which dry cleaning fluid should I use if I want to clean 'dry clean only' clothes at home ? And how do I go about the process...?

You don't it is not easy to do without a machine and you wont get good results. Also the fluids used can be dangerous if inhaled in large quantities and you could not avoid that if you use an open vessel
However I heard this from a representative of a clothing manufacturer. If there is the slightest doubt about the laundering of an item they put dry clean only on it. So the label is not very reliable and a mistress of mine washes all her things even if they say dry clean and she very seldom has any problem

A fair amount of "dry clean only" clothing items can be laundered (gently)...do some research and find out which of your items can be washed.

I've seen "dry clean" products to use at home, in the dryer I think, but I don't know that they are effective. I try to avoid purchasing 'dry clean only' clothes anymore, that I know I cannot wash at home...there's just no need imo for mfgs to make clothes that cannot be washed...

Dry Cleaning is not dry- it requires the use of chemicals some of which are regulated by the EPA- I think they sell them for home use, but not sure- probably not worth the effort to get into this.

They sell a product at Wal-Mart called Dryel....It`s for drycleaning at home, you use it in the dryer...I have not used it, but I have heard it works great.....Good LUck
