The brick texture is rough. My kids have found yet another creative method of lowering the value of my home!! If anyone knows of an effective "kid friendly" method (i.e. make them clean up their own mess w/o use of dangerous chemicals or whatever) that would be the most preferable answer. Thanks!

Do you guys wash your brand new clothes before wearing them or do you wear them new? I find that I prefer to wash my new clothes before I wear them, because they smell funny coming out of the store and I like a "laundry-fresh" feel.

I have enough sense not to try it, but really, what's the worst that can happen? Would it just make your clothes all linty?

My partner had a mark on his best jacket/top. I was in a rush and thought I would soak it and then wash it when I came back. It is a white top with blue and yellow strips on it. I have washed this before (but never soaked it) and it has always been fine but this time the blue has run into the white, and even dyed parts of the arms. I have tryed EVERYTHING!
I've bought all the removers that promise to take dyes out (colour run) ect and even bleach! Nothing is working and I can't bare to tell him.
PLEASE HELP!

A pale lilac blouse with silver beading now has a pale yellow stain in front from a spill of champagne. Thought it had dried clean, since it was a pale color and alcohol, but recently discovered that the champagne left a stain..

I know it is hard to demonstrate on Answers. But if you have a link to the technique I would appreciate it. I have been trying in vain for months.

They are little tiny grayish brown spiders. Every day I usually find a couple of spiders floating on the toilet water, and sometimes I find one suspended below the vent. Occasionally I see one in my tub or sink. I can't get rid of them. I have cleaned my bathroom with bleach, and taken off and cleaned the vent. I don't see any spider webs. How can I make them go away for good?

My sister took the liberty of washing my polo shirts the other day, and she mixed it in with some towels for some reason... and after it was done and dried, I got my shirt back with white spots everywhere.

The white spots are really small pieces of the towel stuck to my shirt.... I tried using that rolling thing with the sticky paper, but it didn't work.

Is there a trick to getting that stuff out?

Or is that just a ploy by retailers to get you to buy something extra, if you need a power cord? One major retailer told us only 1% of dishwashers are not hard-wired. Of course, they told us this after the dishwasher had been delivered (we wanted to install ourselves) and the old one (with the power cord) had been taken away.
