We live in country and have septic system that occasionally causes odiferous kitchen drain. We pour 2 cups of baking soda, followed by 2 quarts or more of white vinegar down the drain. By morning, usually the odor is gone. If that doesn't work, sometimes we pour boiling water down the drain (in order to sterilize and kill germs). If odors are still a problem, adding cut lemons to disposal, turning on disposal, then flushing with copious amounts of running water. So far, these measures have worked. Good luck.

Lemons in the garbage disposal, vinegar or baking soda down the drains. You can also use vodka. Doesn't have to be a pricy, expensive bottle. Just generic vodka, poured straight down your drains works well. It's a great surface cleaner too, if you can get over the fact that you're wasting perfectly good alcohol! ;-)

Try lemons. Either you can buy the juice or buy real ones and cut and squeeze them. Also let it sit for about an hr. without running water down the drain. If that doesn't work try baking soda. Pour it in and wait, then rinse. This works for me. Good luck!

I always pour lemon juice down the drain and that helps. If you have a garbage disposal throw a lemon, lime or orange and grind it up. That will also do the trick
