If nothing else works, call a carpet cleaner, they usually do furniture too and it doesn't cost too much.

Go to upholstery store and get a cleaner that has a neutralizer in it. Pet stores usually sells neutralizers that work but always remember to spot check fabric with what ever you use. You also can try Tide laundry soap w/ febreze and baking soda and even club soda but the key is to not saturate the spot. That only puts it farther into the sofa. Make sure to squeeze the rag out so that it doesn't get to wet. Don't use a sponge. This holds bacteria that leaves odors well. Good luck!!!

Clean the couch w/ a mix of 1/2 vinegar & 1/2 water. Blot it dry & spray w/ Febreeze or Lysol. Spray the air in the room as well, to clear the smell out of the air.

I notice a lot of people say fabreeze, but when my daughter had an accident on our couch fabreeze did nothing...I sprayed liberally 3 days in a row. Believe it or not, the best thing that I found that works is regular good smelling carpet cleaner. Make sure you find one that you like the smell of. I prefer something light and fresh smelling. Use it according to directions...vaccuum, then repeat...There you go, fresh smelling better than before!

Use a mild solution of dishwashing (not dishwasher !) liquid.

1 tab soap
3 cups warm water.

Moisten a cloth with the solution...don't have the rag dripping wet.
Dab the spot but don't rub it as this will destroy the fabric.
You may have to do this a couple of times. Let dry completely.

If you spray anything on it like Free Breeze, Lysol, ect. it will only mask the odor for a bit. It will not remove it.

You could try Resolve or white vinegar diluted with water. Don't get the sofa too wet. Blot up the moisture with a dry towel, then wet another cloth and spray it with Resolve or wet a cloth with the water/white vinegar mixture and dab it on the soiled area. Rinse the wet cloth and repeat the procedure a couple of times. Remember, don't get the sofa too wet. You don't want the cloths you are washing with to be dripping with water.

I did a search and found the following:

"My seat cushions were removable, but the back ones were not, and it worked fantastically on those. It will take some time to dry, and perhaps a few applications, but this produced the best result, according to my experience."

Anti-Icky-Poo (www.antiickypoo.com) will remove vomit and a whole host of other decaying organic materials from most materials. It uses a live bacteria to eliminate any organic material left behind in fabrics and carpet. Unlikle some chemical cleaning products that only mask over the smell, Anti-Icky-Poo not only removes the stain, but it also eliminates the source that causes odors to come back over and over again.

Anti-Icky-Poo is simple to use. Simply spray Anti-Icky-Poo on contaminated surfaces and allow to dry. Once Anti-Icky-Poo evoprates, it leaves no odor or residue behind.

You have to deep clean the sofa. If it sat on there too long, it went down in the cushion. Deep clean the cushion with Lysol or Mr. Clean. Then spray it down with Febreeze. Allow to dry thoroughly.

did you remove the covers for the cushions? If not, try that, and wash them in the washing machine. I had a kid get diarrhea all over my couch once and I had to take the covers off the cushions and use an upholstery cleaner on the parts I couldn't unzip and take off. also on the cushions once the covers are removed, use a spray bottle and you can try, rubbing alcohol, febreeze, or a vinegar/water mix. don't forget about baby wipes, they work for almost anything

If your really love your couch, I would consider hiring a professional upholstery cleaner. It might be pricey, but is cheaper than buying a new couch.

If you do buy a new couch, check to see if they have a warranty on any "spills" (throw up should count). If you get it treated/scotch guarded by the store (which does cost extra), then they should guarantee being able to clean it, or they will reupholster it for you. Good luck,

Use Febreeze or some kind of detergent, but be sure not to use anything too harsh, as it may damage your sofa.
