If a bottle of carpet cleaner doesn't do the job try renting a steam-vac at your local supermarket, they work really well and come with industrial strength cleaner. Whatever product you use make sure that it's color safe.. test it on a small hidden corner to make sure it doesn't discolor the rug or carpet. Good Luck!!

Depends on the stain. White wine cleans dark stains. So does milk. Then use a good carpet cleaner.

After my 54 family members over on Friday, I am finding out. It depends on type of stain. Most will clean with cheap spray carpet cleaner, if not I am calling in the professionals. Too many stains & too much work. Lots of little ones in my family LOL.

Carpet Cleaner
Mix Vinegar, ammonia, small amount of dish soap, borax, and then add water. Put in a foam dispenser or only use the foam, not the liquid and rub on the stains. It should take them out, doesn't matter how long they have been there.

You know for everyday carpet stains I have had really good luck with Windex. I spray it straight on the stained area and blot it dry with an old white towel.
