OK, I have a lovely pink silk bra and knickers set but accidentally dyed the knickers a kind of washed-out purple in the wash. How can I get them back to the same pink as the bra?!

When do colors change? Meanin when you mix white and color. Are their any particular colors? Does the same apply if you handwash?

i was driving and had a spit cup i was spitting in. because my girl used the only cup holder i could reach while driving, i was putting it on the console where the shifter is. she knocked it over and it dripped to small stains of tobacco spit on a white guess purse she had just bought like 4 months ago. it was expensive and more importantly she really likes it. I would like to clean it so she wont be upset about it anymore.

I have a husband, two teenage sons and their friends. I used to have a cleaning lady come every other week, and that was plenty. Now I must clean myself, but I feel like I need to clean every day! How often do you clean?

I am trying to make some extra money by doing laundry for customers in local apartment complexes. I will be dropping off and picking up laundry and offering same day service.

what will take that ring out. I have tried everything from OVEN cleaners to bathroom toilet bowl cleaners to rust removers to those cleaners that you need a gas mask when used. Bleach does not work... and the ring just gets darker and darker while the rest of the toilets look shiny white what is the magic to getting rid of these rings for good?

The company claims it is safe but urethene manufactures recommend using a soft brush. The Roomba is pretty stiff and am concerned if I am removing the finish.

it used to be that it was ok if i forgot to take the wet clothes out of the washing machine a little late. now, after about probably half an hour, my clothes start stinking in the machine. it's a very pungent smell, too, and nothing i do can get rid of it. not even the dryer can take out the smell. i'd have to rewash everything. what's wrong with my washing machine?

Hi, so I accidentally put my 100% silk shirt in the dryer with the rest of the wash, and it came out of the dryer very dull and matte looking. It is no longer smooth (/silky) to the touch, which is rather upsetting.

So, I was hoping someone knows how to "fix" silk after it gets ruined/messed up.

(And FYI: I washed it normally in the washing machine with cold water --I have not had problems washing silk this way before, so I'm pretty sure it was the dryer's fault.)

Thanks so much! :)

I have a pair of black pants that are "dry clean only." They are 54% linen, 44% rayon, and 2% spandex.

Should I take a chance and wash them on cold, delicate?
