I have to wipe the windows every morning. I rent and the landlord will not double glaze.

I had the same problem until I started using the plastic sheeting mentioned before. Putting on weather stripping as well as using the spray foam insulation between the frame and the window didn't help stop it at all.

It is really easy to put on and once you shrink it with the hair dryer it is so clear you can see through it as if it were glass. The best version of this product I have found is called climashield but you can also get one produced by lepages. It is available at any home depot, Canadian Tire, and Walmart.

If this is a continues problem, look for the answer and not here, first moisture in the morning is like dew on the grass, only this time on your window, air is passing through the window, where it is not fitted proper,The problem has to be open the edging, spray a sealing foam bought at local hardware store, very little needs to be used as it expands,to much can crack the window.Follow instructions or get someone to give you the right job for right price.Air and heat mixed together causes the moisture. Are you sure it's a single pane?Double glass has gases and when a seal breaks causes the same effect, hard to fix but can be pulled out and sent to manufacturing plant where glass can be resealed for awhile,or replaced with thicker glass.Simple test to find out if single or double pane, put finger tip against window,a space will show on a double .

There is a temporary double glazing product which consists of plastic sheeting which is attached to the frame with double-sided tape and one then uses a hair-dryer to shrink it so it is taut.

The condensation is obviously due to a high level of moisture in that room. If you can provide ventilation, it will help.
