Husbands not passing out and falling face first should do the trick. Or maybe a little eye juice.

Soak it in Oxy Clean. That stuff is amazing. It took red wine out of a white golf shirt completely.

Very hot water, washing up liquid, and a scrubbing brush. Apply liquid to area, let it soak in a little. Add water and scrub in circular motions. Repeat until stain has gone. Vacuum area well when dry.

Cold water. Place a damp, not too wet cloth over the stain. You may have to repeat this until most of it is gone. Warm or hot water sets blood stains.

Have you tried hydrogen peroxide? Not sure if that will bleach the color out tho. Other than that, the best product I've found is to use Oxy Clean....the stuff you use for the laundry. Oxy Clean doesn't bleach out any of the color.
