I know that there are fragrance-free products like Tide Free and Bounce Free . . . if it's the fragrance that you object to. White vinegar is good for the rinse cycle and will make clothes brighter and take out stale smells. As a matter of fact, if you run between two cups and a gallon--use your own judgment--through the wash cycle without any clothes, it will deodorize your washer also.

Try using Oxy-Clean. 1 scoop per load. It is environmentally friendly. Vinegar will set the stains and you will never get them out.
