We need light fittings, rugs, dining table and many other things to go into our new modern home. Where is the best place, town or area that we could find modern home interior designs?

that they work. One is a wet method of cleaning rugs, and the other is the direct opposite, a completely dry method. I know that one is totally better than the other, but I can't recall which. Any thoughts?

I mix sunflower seeds and wild bird feed into a large feeder hanging from a low tree. The birds kick the seed out onto the ground and I'm constantly weeding this spot to remove thousands of sprouts. Is there some nifty way to keep the ground cleared under a bird feeder?

It's a round screw with 8 pointed grooves. It looks like a starburst. See the pix? I can't find anything that will work.

I bought a yankee candle brand reed diffuser. I've heard they are supposed to work well, but mine isn't even noticable in my tiny bedroom. How can I get it to work better and make the scent stronger?

I have a 2001 Craftsman garage door opener
model# 139.53975SRT1,
serial# 51314100282
120 volts
5.0 amps
1/2 HP

When pushing the keypad outside it opens and closes but you have to hold the ENTER button. When using the wireless button it opens w/o holding but will not close it at all. When using the inside wall button, one push will open it but again to close it we have to hold it.
Can ANYONE please help me fix this? Also if you can give me a link to troubleshooting for future issues that may arise with this particular model. I'd appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

I cant get them to leave!!! Its so annoying!

I think its because the computer is by the outside wall and they can hear the noise. But I cant move my computer because the desk is built in...

Is there any woodpecker repellent out there? Some plant that will keep them away or something store bought?

Help please! They're doing it right now!

Is there any way to put some kind of lock on my bedroom door that has a non-locking knob? Or a way to prevent people from barging in randomly. My parents and siblings are driving me crazy coming in and taking stuff without permission.

It's pink on one side, and white on the other. My Nana is telling me that when I put it up, the roll must face towards the room - she 'knows this for a fact'.

But surely this isn't true for a black-out blind? If the roll faces inwards, I'm either going to end up with the majority white and a pink 'roll' (I bought pink to match my room, not to show the neighbours), or I'm going to have to roll it the other way (it came rolled up so all you can see is pink), and the majority will be pink, and the roll will be white. This will also look silly, won't it?

She's saying that if I do it the 'wrong' way (so that the roll is closest to the window, and therefore not visible) that it 'might' look okay, but she's not too sure. I'm definitely having it this 'wrong' way, but what are your opinions? How would you put it up?

Thanks in advance! =)

I'm interested in your personal experience, not an answer from a sales person. Our mattress is in what I believe to be good condition without any problems, but am wondering what the "life" is of an average mattress. And, any thoughts on the box spring would be helpful too. Many thanks!

I'm in Western NC and this has come up in my yard. It's fast growing and spreads easily. I'd like to use it if I can, but I want to be sure of what it is first.
