Is there any way to put some kind of lock on my bedroom door that has a non-locking knob? Or a way to prevent people from barging in randomly. My parents and siblings are driving me crazy coming in and taking stuff without permission.

Thanks for your help everyone. I was pretty mad when I posed this question so now that I've calmed down I think I can just talk to my family and ask them to please knock before they come in.
Just out of curiosity though, would I be able to switch the knob on the bathroom door with mine? I'm only a teenager and I don't have much experience with this kind of thing.

There are 2 piece latches where a pin slides over. They only cost a few dollars and are attached with a few screws.

To do it without damaging the door or the molding around it, you would probably have to change the entire knob mechanism. Indoor knobs are fairly cheap from Home Depot or Lowes (probably $20 or so), and the installation is pretty straight-forward and simple.
Or you could try installing some type of slide latch. There are even cheaper and easier, but you would damage the door and the molding around it because you would have to screw it directly onto the surface.
If you're a young person, neither of these may be suitable. I'd recommend hiding anything of value and finding a hobby that keeps you out of the house.

First of all you need to address this with your parents. Some parents do not want a lock on their childrens door because they do not want them to be participating in activities that would require a locked door. THEY do not want to be locked out.
Possibly you could ask them to put an Exterior door knob on your bedroom door which would require a key to open it. They may like this idea as long as they too could have a key. This way, you can have some privacy, they can have access, and your siblings will just have to stay out, because they do not have a key.!!

Buy a locking doorknob and replace the knob on your door with it. If you really want it to be completely private, buy one that only opens with a key. The bathroom locks can always be popped open from the outside.
However, if you go with a key lock be careful not to accidentally lock yourself out of your room :)

The kind of lock you need is a numbered one. There is a key pad on the lock and then you just enter your code and get into the room. You can leave it latched so that it is open most of the time, but when you want privacy you can set it to lock.

Just go buy a new door knob. They are really easy to install and you can probably get a cheap one for under $10. Just go to your local home improvement store. They come with directions for installation.

Just take the knobs off and go to a home center for help with that problem. Maybe you want to install a latch or a hook inside ?

you should be able to remove the old mechanism and swap for a lockable one with minimum fuss.
you will need to drill holes for the key apperture prior to fit, but you must know what sort of door construction you have.
alternatively ask if you can fit a hook and clasp out side to fit a padlock., and use a shoot bolt inside for when you in. beware of siblings locking you in though.

What I would do is take a screwdriver(s) and take knob off.
Take whole thing to a hardware store and get one that has the same size "sticker Plate".
That way you don't have to chisel anything out.(saving you money on tools)
You can do this...
