I am halfway through decorating my bathroom, and I have white tiles around the bath and up to the shower etc.; with a grey mosaic border. I intend to have a slate grey floor, and I need to decide what colour to paint the other half of the bathroom that would go with it all. So just looking for ideas.

You might have seen my other question about re-doing a cubby, but we are wanting to cover the wooden "walls" and floor with a type of timber such as plywood. What would be the most water prood, worth my money and strong. It has to be pretty waterproof and not split as there may be a tv inside.

Hi guys, i have just been bought flowers by moy lovely boyfriend. In the bunch are some pink roses, but also, as well as lots of decorative stuff, some big flowers which look, sounds bizarre, like a combination between a cabbage and a rose!!!!! does anyone know what the plant is called and whether it actually is a cross between these two things! (I would include a picture but I don't know how). Many thanks. xxx

I'm a Mom with two girls ages 4 and 6. I work 4 days on and 4 days off in 24 hour shifts. I have a 50 minute commute to and from work. On the days I work I wake up at 5:30am and get the kids ready for school and daycare. I drop the kids off in the morning and head to work. I get off at 5 and most of the time I'm not finished up with everything so I leave and pick up the kids if my husband hasn't got off of work yet. I get the kids and get home after 6 sometime and start getting the kids ready for bed, baths, dinner, ect. And they're tired and grumpy. The 6 year old is learning to help some and that's nice. We go to their room and read from 7:30 to 8 and I'm still having to do some work all in between the chaos. When they get to sleep I have to finish up what I haven't done at work, get stuff ready for tomorrow, shower, and try to get some sleep. (contuned in details...)

I live in newcastle NSW and am looking for a mulch that you can put on a steep hill garden that doesnt wash away but lumps together when it gets wet. I have heard names of Hoop pine mulch, bark fibre mulch, shredded mulch, environmental mulch, but there seems to be no places around that sell these mulches. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey, everyone. I was making some cookies and after I took them out of my oven, an alarm went on and had singular beats for about 10 sec. After I turned my oven off, 10 min. later I went back to it and it's still a bit hot. I'm wondering if carbon monoxide can be coming out of my oven, I'm not sure if the alarm that rang was a CM alarm.

I am beginning to dabble in pyrography (wood burning). I was wondering if anyone knows what type of finish I can put on the plates when they are done. I need to use something that is nontoxic for eating off of but also will protect the plate and the design for the long run. I appreciate any help with this. Thank you in advance.

I walked down my hall and heard a swishing noise. I opened the hall closet where my hot water heater & furnace are and heard a funny noise coming from my hot water heater. I checked to see if the pilot light was on and it is. It is glowing orange and blue. And its making a funny swishing noise as though the wind is blowing through it or something. Could something be wrong? Its late. Can it wait until morning? Thankx

I have had a very foul smell in my laundry room (also where my furnace is) that resembles sewer gas. I have had six plumbers leave scratching their heads. I have had all of my toilets professionally replaced, drains snaked, and a even had a smoke bomb test done today, so I know that there is no crack in a visible pipe or a blockage in any vent pipes. The next step is to have my basement floor ripped apart to proceed with a very expensive camera test. This is getting awful pricey. I was asked if I use "electrostatic furnace filters" today and I do. Could that be the cause? Anyone? I am at my wits end. It is no longer comfortable in my own home. I can't run the furnace and it is getting colder. I would be so grateful for any light that could be shed on this very frustrating and puzzling matter.

I have a spot on my baby girl's Baby Einstein Activity Mat/Gym (the part she lays on) from a piece of masking tape that I removed (from a garage sale). How can I remove it without ruining the fabric?
