If you're willing to pay high interest, there's USA DISCOUNTERS. If high interest isn't for you, just buy from GOODWILL or some other thrift stores.

You can find amazing buys at garage sales and resale shops. Also if you can find local online ads from people selling furniture. We furnished a complete second home (a 2 bedroom condo) with used furniture. With some scrubbing, and a bit of painting, it really looks planned and well put together. Painting is easy and fun.

You can do alot with paint and get some nice looking pieces for very little money. Then when you can replace them, you don't have to worry about getting your money back on the pieces you started out with.

Do what I did when I had no credit and little money. Go to garage sales and live with used items until you can afford better. DO NOT do the rent to own thing. You will wind up paying three or four times what the furniture would cost if you paid cash.

Try the classified section of the newspaper and garage sales. There is always someone that needs to get rid of something in a hurry and generally if you are patient you get what you want for a "steal of a deal." That's how I a bought a lot of my music equipment for my studio. I couldn't afford to buy at the listed price. Recently I was able to find a new concert grand piano for half the price.

If you live in the united states, you can go on line and join the freecycle group in your state. For example mine is rochesterfreecycle@yahoo...... for my area. Type in (YourState) freecycle into a yahoo search.

What freecycle is, is a group of people that live in your area that instead of throwing things away offer them for free through these sites, if you have something to get rid of you offer it. you can request 2 things a week, usually on sundays. The person that is giving away something chooses whome they want to give it to throught the responses that they get, then the winner picks up at the givers house.
Pretty great system.
Try it out, you'll be glad that you did.
