white and red berries for the winter season but I'm not sure how long they'll last. What other plant cound I put out in hanging pots? I live in the Northeast (usually pretty snowy but thanks to global warming the times, they are a-changing). I have a white farmhouse, black shutters, red door. Thanks : )

HI I have just become a qualified electrical installer but I'm a bit confused about something i've just read, Di-log has advertised a new Multi-function tester and on the advert it says it's the first 17th edition tester. Does this mean the fluke 1652 Which I am wanting to buy will not be any use anymore???
If i think of it logically then any multifunction tester will do as long as it does the main testings,
continuity test
insulation resistance
Ze & Zs
RCD Trip time test

Can anyone give me an insight on this??

Thanks in advance

Ihave four plug sockets in my room but they're all miles apart so I can't use them all for something in one area, at the moment each one of these sockets is letting through 1200volts per hourso all together my room takes 4800volts at per hour and my electricals are either on stand-by or swirched on. Now my rooms only ment to take 960volts per hour and that's almost 5times less then what my room takes in. A couple of months ago though I was on my computer and I switched it off and went to unplug it and a huge flame came out the 5 plug extension socket and that tripped the main fuse down stairs and also took out all 24 fuses I have in my room.
How can I prevent this from happening again?

I have just moved house and found the shower, a 9.5kw Triton shower, only delivers a light spray. The pressure from the cold tap in the bathromm is strong but the shower pressure is driving us nuts. Can anyone advise me as to what the best remedy would be and/or whether I need a plumber or electrician? Would a pump help the pressure in the shower?

I tried to use pliers to unscrew the drain but it was so coroded that the crossbars just fell apart. So I tried to loosen it from around the tub and the drain pipe separated from the tub. Can I fix this without taking the whole tub out? If I have to call a plumber, how much does this usually run? Thanks in advance.

We have a medium size garden, and I need something to trim long grass around the fences and tree. I have tried a cheep electric one before, and it was pathetic, the line would not feed. I would be using it approx twice a month for an hour or so at a time. Female friendly would help, something that does not require so much fiddling and easy to start, and looking at spending under $200 Australian. All advice would be greatly apreciated. I think I heard somewhere that a straight shaft is better, but that is all I know.
Thank you!

I wat to plant a saucer magnolia tree, and my HOA wants me to install a root barrier? most people don't even know what that is, let alone tell me how to install one. I don't know what size to use for my tree, or the circumference, or depth. a store tried to sell me one that was 18 feet deep. I'm completely lost. By the way the tree is supposed to be a variation of a magnolia tree.

Okay. We have a house in the middle of the woods. Fleas are a problem, ants are the usual. I can live with that. I'm 14 and our house is cluttered, not dirty just cluttered. Oh my god the roaches. My room alone I see on one wall 6 of them. That's on ONE wall. There are baby ones everywhere. Also, we bombed like two weeks ago and ever since for instance. I lay on the floor to do my homework. A roach fell from the ceiling onto my book. It took steps towards me moved it's nasty little whiskers and started chasing me. If I'd move left he'd move left. It scared the crap out of me. We own dogs and mice. Moth balls aren't a option becuase of pets. We can't leave anything outs because the dogs will eat it. I REALLY WANT THE BUGS GONE. IT"S TOO EMBARRASING TO CALL THE EXTERMINATOR BECUASE IN THIS TOWN EVERYBODY KNOWS EVERYBODY. ANY STRONG STUFF WE CAN BUY. REMEDIES ANYTHING. I HAVE WENT ALONE IN MY 9 BY 10 ROOM WITH 3 CANS OF RAID TODAY. WE BOMB AND BOMB AND BOMB BUT THEY JUST GO CRAZY. HELP!!!

My wife and I have a house that is older and we don't have a tone of money. If you had only $1-2K for home improvements, where should that money be spend to get returns when we sell it?

We just replaced the roof. It has a fireplace (nothing special). Small bathroom upstairs and down - neither attached to the bedroom. Finished basement - but we ripped out the old carpet.

We have rather large living room that slopes. It may not be noticeable for some people but it sure is to us. Fortunately our floor is still unfinished (we will be finishing it in the next year..)

Is this costly to fix and/or is this an easy enough for us to do it ourselves? We don't have a ton of money but we would like to look after this so it may not "cost us" (dearly) when it comes to reselling in the future.

When this plant was given to me, it had many deep purple blooms. I have it outside, with full to partial sun exposure, and it was doing okay - no new blooms, though - until I neglected to water it for two days. When I checked on it, the blooms and leaves were drooped over. I immediately watered it, and kept my eye on for the next week or two, but it never seemed to recover, and the blooms changed from deep purple to almost white.
My neighboor suggested I trim it by removing the drooping leaves and blooms, which I did.
It's been well over a month, and it's still nearly bald and very sad looking.
Any advice? Can it be saved?
