Seriously, it would save a ton of water and broken marriages so why not?

You're right it would save money on water but you have to consider the added cost of the urinal as well as installation, space in the bathroom, etc. Also, urinals are essentially single purpose whereas a toilet works for both sexes and ...ahem, both functions shall we say.

All that being said, I know someone who did install a urinal in a bathroom. He wanted his bonus room to have a real bar-type feel so he built the bathroom to have more of a commercial look with a urinal and toilet.

I have seen them in a couple houses. They were installed for the purpose of saving water. A urinal flushes with about 1/3 the water of a toilet. There used to be a company that made urinals for residential use. I haven't seen their ads for a long time.

Cost. They are not cheap. Also, most bathrooms are small so having a stool and a urinal would take up more space that could be put to better use. Easier to teach "aiming" than buying a urinal.

I think your right. My brother in law got so pissed because his wife complains that he is not a straight shooter.
So he went to his garage and installed a long funnel into the wall leading outside into the back yard.

Best of luck

I have always insisted that when I build my castle, I'm going to have urinals in the bathrooms as well as the garage.

If men didn't sit to .. take a dump .. the whole toilet seat gripe would make a lot more sense.

Bad idea, women would find something else to moan about other than the seat being left up or peed upon.

Because it would encourage grafitti in the bathroom.
