The water won't shut off when it's filling.

Is there a sensor somewhere that says when the water is full?

Our basement is empty. It would be perfect for my room, but my parents dont think so. How do I get them to let me have my room down there? I really dont understand why they wont let me. So if you have any suggestions on how i can get them to let me have my room down there, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Ok guys this might be kind of weird. But anyways heres the deal. Right now im low on cash and im bored, feeling creative, and i really want to build something that i can be proud of. So since i have a 1 cubic foot tool box for 50cubic feet of tools id like to try and build my own toolbox. Not to mention toolboxes are expensive. The cheap walmart ones are 100 bucks. So im probably going to make it out of wood. Its probably going to be pretty big about 3 foot tall mabye. Was wanting 3-10 drawers. Anyone got any suggestions or reasons why not to build a wood toolbox? Also what other materials besides wood should i get? Im assuming some roller things for the drawers. Advice? Thanks!

I think most sinks have three pipes into the wall under the bathroom sink. The hot water, cold water and drain pipe. I have a fourth pipe that connects above the trap. What is this pipe? You can see a picture of the pipes under my sink here:

http://thenadlers.com/bathroomsink.jpg

I have turned the water shutoffs off and disconnected the trap and there is water leaking from this fourth pipe which would normally go down the drain. I found this problem because I think the drain got clogged and the water backed up into my sink. So first, I'm not sure what this pipe is for. And second, I'm not sure why water would be coming in through it.

Thanks very much!
Eric

I have a KB Home, and I accidentally messed-up one of my Windows. It happened when I closed it one day. The Vinyl became loose, and the Window De-commpressed. I just need to get a Replacement. So, what Brand did KB use?!?

I'd also like to know what Brand of Sink Basin's KB used. That information would be Helpful.

I've got a DeVilbiss 5000 watt power generator. The engine runs fine but it won't generate any power. The circuit breakers are good. I've checked for voltage coming right out of the stator and there's only 2.5V coming off of the 120V side and 5V coming out of the 240V side of the stator windings. The stator winding resistance reads a couple ohms for each winding. I checked the capacitor and it checks right on at 35uF. I checked the stator diode and it checks good. Anyone have a clue what else I can check?
Thanks.

I have two trees in the backyard that I want gone. Well, I am cutting them down so they are about 4 feet tall. They are leaning way to much and they will come down on the garage in the right storm. It would take about 45 minutes per tree and they are not large at all.

My brother was painting under our deck and was using Olympia Oil Based paint, to protect it. It dripped onto the cement and we cant get it off. We've tried Mineral Spirits and it only got the fresh paint off. Is there any way to get it off without ruining the cement further?

Hi, I have lately been having problems with this group of kids. They are always sitting infront of my house. When i drive to my mailbox to get my mail, one of these kids likes to come infront of the car to annoy me. I have talked to him about this and he just acts dumb. I am fed up with these kids sitting around and disturbing my peace. They ring the doorbell and run off sometimes. They threatened to sexually asault my daughter. Should i call the cops? What should i do?

What is a nice lawn hedge? We have some bushes/hedges in the front yard in front of our windows but they are very woody (lots of stems and braches and little leaves) and they grow so fast we have to cut them back every fews weeks. We would like something more attractive that would appeal the curb value of our home. We live in Austin TX. Thanks for all suggestions!

I think my pipe that supplies water to my backyard faucet was capped by the previous owners. How hard is it to "uncap" the pipe to gain usage of it again or is this not possible?
