Soak the paper in water, squidge into the logmaker and squeeze down the handles. Remove brick and leave to dry out. Bricks will burn for up to an hour.

In the US you can get log rollers and newspaper brick makers from Lehman's, www.Lehmans.com (that is not a mistake, that is a capital L) A really cool catalog of stuff you can't seem to find anymore.

My folks had a roller for this job 30 years ago, probably still find one somewhere. By hand, make sure to use thin layers-unfold before rolling. Packed tight, tied with cotton string, these are great.

when i use to make em.. i took about 3 pages at a time and rolled them up tight .. when i got to about 8 inched from the end i would add 3 more pages... using hot wax to paste the pages together... when the roll got about as thick as a tolet paper roll i was done..
