what can i put in dirt to make plants grow faster?

like "steriods for plants" to seriously make them grow fast, not just nutrients

just remember to do more than one plant for each item to get accurate results (say 6?). Use plants of the same age and species for all the tests. Give them identical access to light, water etc. Use the same amount of each variable. Do a group of "control" plants that have no additives.

I put a layer of potting soil, then a thin layer of 10-10-10 fertilizer, more soil, then top it off with Miracle Grow. Water it in and watch it grow!

It all depends on the amount of nutrients you are able to feed through to your plant. Ideally, you should use soil for your plants(unless you want to try hydroponics). However providing the required nutrients is necessary.

I really don't know, other than furtilizer. But here is a great tip: If it has to be watered daily, DON'T just dowse it w/ water! It has to sink in gradually.

Put some ice cubes on the soil. As it melts, it moderates the water, and keps it from becoming mush!
