We are putting down peel and stick wood like strips in our den.
Problem is a few of the strips dont want to stick.
Is there some kind of glue you can get to make them stick better?

Vinyl tile adhesive can be used even when the planks are peel and stick. If you only have a few problem areas however you may not want to use regular vct adhesive because it will make the affected tiles sit higher than the rest. The best thing to use is a contact cement gel. Apply to both the floor and the flooring and allow to dry to the touch. then stick it down and put a weight on it. It will stay.

There might be a residue on the floor in those spots. Call a place like HOme Depot for a solution to clean those spots and then reapply the PS strips

They will not stick to the floor if there is any dust on the floor. If you have a piece that won't stick, after cleaning that area of the floor, stick it down with double-sided carpet tape. Use it to cover the unstuck strip completely.

You're talking about laminate flooring, like Pergo, right?

You can apply a vinyl tile adhesive with a very small-notched trowel, and that will do fine. You want the kind of product that would ordinarily be used to lay non-self-stick vinyl tiles. Usually you will want to let it "tack up" a little before you actually apply the flooring; read the can before you apply it.

You can use that spray adhesive 3M makes it...I use it on craft work I do it's about 6 dollars a can....but make sure you do not get the spray on any thing you do not want to get stuck.this stuff is very strong and easy to use ...I would use the vacuum hose to get as much dirt & dust up as possible...hope this helps,,one more time, dont spray anything you dont want to get stuck..and it is hard to clean up I would use tape and paper to make extra sure
