In the summer, go clockwise so you feel the breeze coming down on you to cool off. Winter is counter clockwise, which draws warm air up and circulates the heat.

Clockwise = Summer to blow th breeze down onto you.

Counter clockwise = Winter to draw the heat off the cieling & back down to you (as long as you don't have it on HIGH).
