yes, when used with the right proportion of water. Protect your hands while using it. Make sure that the surface you are cleaning will not be harmed and after using the solution rinse off with clear water.

no, it doesn't..bleach is 99% water, the only reason people think it's gone is because it bleaches the color of the mold. The bleach will only saturate the mold and the water will accutaly make it grow more, becuase you are spraying it with more water.
Use 1/4 vinegar to 1 cup of water. Spray the area and wait for 30 min/1 hour depending on the magnitude of the molded area. Then wipe with a cleanser. using vinegar to cleans area that are prone to mold will keep it very clean. Good for window seals...those you can spray and wipe shortly. Good luck. You could also do a google search for cleaning with vinegar

I have tried to use other products that claim they work just as well and have found that they don't. I use a diluted bleach solution to fight my mold and mildew problems. If the diluted solution doesn't work, then I go full strength. If you use it full strength, make sure that you open a window or have a fan running, as bleach in a closed in room can choke you and make breathing a little tough.

umm anything you use is going to be water based. However you need to use a heater to dry this area out after you clean it. If this stuff is in the walls good luck you may have to tear it down and get the problem fixed.
I have heard hydrogen peroxide helps. But in any way shape or form you will have to dilute it or get it trapped in something. Air the area out.

You can use some TSP cleaner. It is not as harsh as bleach but works great inside and outside the house, mix it with hot water and scrub it in, TSP even penetrates soot from fires. but will not burn you or your nose out. Any Hardware store should have some and its cheap too.

no! use an antibacterial cleaner. bleach actually "scatters" the mold fungi and so you are seeing it go away (getting bleached) but you are actually widening its habitat.
