To My Dear Momma Param (and before you REPORT your adorable *son* to that nasty self-proclaimed "Oracle") - they deleted two more innocuous questions of mine!!! :´-( So, [just to be on the safe side, and since I'm NOT quite in a Y!A suicidal mood yet] I've decided to pretty much copy the "featured questions" off the Y!A Home Page and reproduce 'em here with some "SMALL" modifications!!! ... You don't want 'em to accuse me of downright plagiarism, do you? LOL LOL LOL :-) :-)

You can call it my: "Prudent Y!A Blue Phase Strategy"! :-) :-) :-)

Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll be in imminent danger of being indefinitely suspended; we don't want that my dear Param, do we now? LOL LOL

Besides, we know these are not only safe, but for the most part highly relevant questions, as well. Think about it, why would they be featured, otherwise? :-0

Okay. Enough, baby! Just tell momma what's hit you. What exactly has caused this delirium and why are you running helter skelter all over the place....come clean and I'll fix 'em. Or else, I'll report you for bad behaviour, you naughty boy.

Edit: Now don't I know my lovable naughty son well enough!!!
I knew he was upto some mischief but strict Mom that I am, I can't allow him to run wayward, keeping him off bad company is my duty. You can't get away with your 'but you love me momma' act, you adorable pug!

p.s. Now I know what kind of inane questions can bug me so much that I itch to report them (but only from those I care for, I am indifferent to the rest)...

OK I'm back; but I have to think before I answer.

The problem with DIY, no offense to you or anyone; is that often the intent is great, the effort strong, but the result sometimes not very successful.

Certainly as a DIY this might mean you'd actually have a BASKET; and items and ideas for the "making". It might also assume you actually have someone to GIFT?

There is likely; local to you; and agency that deals strictly with such rentals. They are probably better equipped, and may even be extensive enough to rent flowers; food items; shelf life marked products to include in the baskets; and probably even do delivery and pick up.

It seems a logical enterprise to me LOL, for Weddings/ and Funerals to name two examples. YOU might even become proficient enough to go into the field yourself? OR you could just NOT give gifts.

Ok my two cents. Time to get more coffee and get serious. I have a full day ahead collecting rented landscaping; from real estate that has sold. I need a larger truck however, as reclaiming "lawns" takes up way too much space and time.

Are you referring to a wedding well, or a wedding basket that can cost several hundred dollars to buy but can be rented? They are used for guests to drop wedding cards with money into the slit in the basket. You can rent them; not sure how much, but yes, it is considerably less to rent versus buy. They are costly because they are made of silk, pearls, sequins, very elaborate and beautiful.

I have a friend that gave me some wonderful home made rosemary scented pecans on Christmas Eve, for my present.
On Christmas Day, she called to ask if she could have the very decorative jar back to regift it!

You should definitely make your own gift basket, because, later, you can rent it out to others. Better to be the renter rather than the rentee.

Rent a gift basket?

Does the recipient have to return it when the rental expires?
