It's sooooooooooooo early for this; but I'm just having pre-start coffee anyway.
My own digital controls are still functioning in daylight savings time; so I can relate to a degree.
Hopefully you haven't actually waited an hour to discover a resolution.
I want to assume that you have a "Manual" Over ride system installed in the seat technology. Unless the lid is "geared" and they are locked; you might just effect a cure by taking one hand; grasping the edge of the lid; and lifting; until it's at a 90 degree angle; or as close as it can be.
Then if your personal dexterity permits; quickly use the "appliance" before the over ride timer clicks off and the lid descends.
Toilets have always been one of the "trickiest" things to use; especially for my gender (male).
