I'd use a chocolate brown with an ivory or cream. VERY chic, still feminine and something that you will enjoy for years!

Well they say trends go and come back around. I'd say a purple or blue or brown or even orange. Look at green 70's colors combos. Those colors are coming back in style. It has a free-spirit kind of mentality to the colors, great for someone that is a teen.

OK! I just had this same dilemma. I have a light olive-ish bedspread with red and pink roses on it. Not kiddy cheap flowers, really pretty delicately flowers sewn into the fabric.

I painted all 4 walls so light pink (to aviod babyish look, i choose i pink with a little of blue in it) it was almost white but not too white.
then i took a cherry red candy pink and sponged over only 2 walls. (I hung things on the light light light pink walls because the sponged walls already have alot going on).
I know its kind of opposite of what you are going for, but i think you could apply it in the opposite way. The light pink also helps keeping it from looking Christmas-y with the pink and green.

If you are looking for cute bedspreads I LOVE pbteen. Look in their catalog because they always have really good ideas in there, even if you don't like any of their products, look at what they do for decoration.

Black looks really good with light green also - for the furniture and picture frames - very modern and then throw in a red or orange accent color

also try this website - and click on the color wheel and you can see what colors compliment each other - you can see why people said purple goes well with light green because it is opposite on the color wheel

I loooooove a shade of purple with green!! If you're going with a sagey green, go for a smoky lavender or even a darker purple - a lime green looks great w/ a darker brightish purple too. You could also go with "tropical colors" and that sort of theme with lime green, turquoise, bright pink, orange, etc. - those are really nice too. Buy a blow-up palm tree, maybe a hawaiian print for your bedding, a grass-skirt for your bed - have fun with it!!

If you mean a pastel green, then a pastel blue and a tan color would look good with it.

If you mean a lime green, then chocolate brown and metallic gold will look good.

I used a frosted lime once. Everyone loved it.
Green goes with pink, purple, white or brown.

Conservative. White and pale yellow, to brighten up. Modern. Darker greens and darker yellows.
