The concept of the hotel is contemporary, rich, dark, & mysterious w/ purple & blue accents. There is a bar within the hotel named Dusk. I want the name to go along with this and give off the same feeling.

I'm interested in purchasing a safe house just in case the worst possible scnario occurs (apocalypse). It isn't for religious reasons, I just remember my grandfather always keeping at least one unregistered gun at home and at his office, survival supplies etc, just in case the s**t hit the fan. I think that it is a wise investment, and I have the money, but want to know what to spend it on. I figure there are three major things; weapons, food, shelter. The shelter should be in a remote location, and I live in Anchorage, so maybe central AK? WY? what is a wise amount of time to prepare for? More than a year? If you overstock, and leave the food, it may have gone bad by the time you need it. What are the things that should be prepared for? Anarchy? Opressive government? WW3? Natural disasters (Yellowstone)? Food shortages? Any input would be appreciated. No rush for answers (yet).

ok the toilet's flooded(obviously) and i have been doing everything. i plunged it but everytime i do, then flush again, it'll go down then the water level will raise a little more. im scared to flush again and then just floods the bathroom.

im not a real good "handywoman" but i know its too much toilet paper down there but i dont know what else to do...so here's my question.

with a small problem like this...will the toliet just drain itself if i leave it overnight and be useful in the morning again??
and if i take a shower right now, will it affect the toilet?

quick help is greatly appreciated. =]

I plastered in Rhode Island for about 5 years several years ago. I know on extremely hot days or for that matter on extremely cold days my boss would usually call off work for the day. On the few occations I did plaster during very hot and humid weather it took a long time to dry. I had to go over it several times causing it to "dimple" I believe was the word we used to use. Anyway I was asked this question by a friend who is building houses in NC. He is also originally from RI. He wanted me to plaster his houses but I have never seen any houses here plastered and was just wondering why.

I am moving into a house and the walls really need to be painted but I'm having a lot of trouble deciding on a color. We have a black bookshelf and a black desk that is going in the living room that has silver hardware. We also have a couple black leather chairs. Our couches were given to us and they do not match so I was wanting to get some slip covers...but something besides black...but I don't know what color to get them in or what color to paint the walls. I want it all to flow nicely. Any suggestions?

There are sooo many bubbles left now, it nearly fills up the whole bathtub! I already tried using cold water to drain it out or at least lower it but it does not work very fast. How could I do it faster? Like within 5-10 minutes?

we first signed the papers with our roofers on the 2nd of october, after months of trying to find one,
he said the work would be done no later than the 15th of the month, on the 17th we were waken by the materials being delivered, none of them spoke english, we had to move the materials off our lawn,
finally on the 25th the roofer returns our calls and says he will have it done by the 30th ,
when that day went we called and called ,now he says he broke his toe .
how much longer should we deal with this ,plus we got a lien by registered mail from the materials peoples,
we chose this companty because they are family owned
been in buisness longer than i have been around,
i hate to go to the bbb,but what can or should we do ,
its almost winter ,i know there is a leak i dont want it to get worse

So, we gave away an extra dryer we had. It worked perfectly fine right before we gave it away. They just hooked it up and it won't turn on. They even checked the fuses. What could it be??

I'm a college student and don't know a whole lot about this stuff, but I'm wondering if it is necessary to have an exhaust hose coming off my clothes dryer? I doesn't really seem necessary to me unless there is some health risk involved. It would also be a cheap way to save heat as it just blows out hot air. Please help me. Thank you.

Someone suggested that they saw a DIY article on turning one into a windmill but I would be interested in other ideas. I'm thinking I probably don't get enough wind to justify that project since I live as inland as one can in Florida.

around 5 percent of the roaches are mutating, we tried everything to get rid of them, we are thinking of getting exterminators, i swear, its so weird and cool but scarry that they are mutating, they are suppose to be dark brown to a black color but now look white, some, what is going on, does anyone know why they are mutating, i am interested in knowing, is it b/c of the enviornment they invade in. and why are they hard to get rid of. they have even got into the printers and ruined my printer, my aunt lives upstairs and they got into thier printer, they even got into the tv and while we watch, we can see them inside the tv walking on the inner screen. its wierd, its like these bugs are trying to invade human life as we speak.
