Well, from my experience, a land fill looks like a giant hill of dirt with trash and debris sticking out of it. It is just layers of trash and soil. They smell really bad as well.

Your question is kind of hazy. I am not sure what you are asking. Landfills look entirley different depending on what stage they are in. If they have been completed, they are usually planted but have pipes somewhere for the methane gas. Blackwell Forest Preserve in Illinois is a completed landfill with a lake, camping, and forest. However, the lake has been contaminated by the poisons from the landfill and cannot be used for recreation. The landfill here in Manistee Michigas has just begun so there is a hole in the ground whichis being filled. There are dumpsters all over the location full of waste material that are hauled to the pit and dumped when full. So a landfill can look like a lot of different things from a junkyard to a completed forest preserve.
