decorate a room for two teenage girls? I'm seventeen and my sister is 14, we share a medium sized roomm. All we Have are twin beds and a table with the computer on it. The walls are white, as well as the carpet. There are two windows, one very large on the wall whit the head of the beds are, and to the right, a smaller one. Perpendicular to the smaller window, there is a large closet without a door. I'm into a very punk rock, pink girly style. My sister loves pink, but she's also very sportish. We are in desparate need of good designs. Any idea's that anyone would lke to contribute? THANKS! please don't post nasty or "smart aleck" answers, they don't help. I know i'm almostmoving out, but this is somehting my sister and I want to do together. SHe is in as much need for help as i am. Thank you again.

I'm hesitating between these two models. Which one do you think I should get? All I want is more space in the fridge so that it holds more stuff and its reliability.

This is the type compressor used to power small air powered tools. Electrically powered, I am concerned about the compressor itself. Sorry to ask, but I misplaced the manual.

Can you ever REALLY clean them? They are fibrous and aborbant and so have to have bacteria on them - at lease more so than a plastic or metal spoon. Why are they still used?

I live in a high-rise condo building in downtown Tampa that does not recycle, they state they do not have enough room in the garbage room to accommodate the extra bins. I would like to organize something within the building so we can recycle but cannot find any quality information - any suggestions?

If you were to build a new home in the Midwest and money were not an object in the construction cost, but you wanted the maintain the lowest utility cost. What things would you incorporate in your home design? How will the exterior walls be constructed and insulated? What type of heating and cooling systems would you use?

I just put down some weed kill (I'll probably spray again for good measure and to get rid of my wild onions) and I was wondering if after they're completely dead if I need to physically go out there and pull out the weeds, or do they decompose on their own without me having to pull out the roots. Thanks!

I have a garden vac and to be honest its a bit of a pain as it wont lift wet leaves and when it does lift leaves, the bag fills up very quickly. Also, the vac is very heavy and hurts my shoulder after using it for a while. I will rake leaves off the lawn or tarmac but it is a nusance to rake them off stones or flowerbeds with mulch or compost. Do you think a leaf blower would be any better for this - to blow the leaves into one area where they can be easily lifted? Can you advise please?

We have a baby and we use a Vicks Vaporizer in his room (especially when he is sick). Well, now it seems we ONLY use it at night when he's sick.- mostly because my husband is against using it - b/c he thinks our house is too humid -and is the reason behind the sweaty windows. Well, it is doctor's orders to use it. Anyhow, all the windows in the house now have various degrees of inner-pane sweating . The windows are relatively new, apparently. I am aware that an inert gas (e.g. Argon) should be present between the 2 panes. Do all 'newer' windows (whether low, mid or high end) have this gas? Bottom line: My husband thinks the house (i.e. walls) will be damaged if we continue to use the Vapourizer. Is this true? I know with my previous house at this time of year (October) in Southern Ontario, I had sweaty panes once the colder weather arrived. This topic is becoming a sore-spot for us. If Vicks Vapourizers are so bad, why are all the parents using them for their sick babies?

How would you start to cut a tree branch, which is round and eccentric along its axis. I could screw it to a board parallel to the branch to get a straight cut on the other side but can it be done without screwing into the wood? Should this idea be abandoned?

In other words, how long should the stubs be left? On one hand, I heard I don't want them right up to the trunk as it's bad for the tree; on other, it doesn't look good if they are sticking out.

Please advise.

In General, why is it that some say to cut down dead foliage and branches of perennial shrubs in the Winter AND some say to do it in the Spring??? What is the difference in WHEN I do it?
ALSO, when I do cut down, should I do it all the way to the ground?

what is the name of a deciduous, tropical or semi-tropical, oval leafed shrub that produces panicles of deep pink (fuchsia colored), waxy /succulent looking stellar ( pointed star shaped)shaped flowers, around one inch diameter, with a blue, spherical/ berry-like in the center of each flower? Can provide photo to post somewhere if needed for identification. Saw this plant in temperate-semi tropical area in N. Italy and told it was not native, a sub-tropical plant.

Detached garage cement block const. built into a bank.
Top of rear wall is just above grade.
Sides are 50% into bank.
Rear wall is cracked & bowing in middle approx 6", starting about half way up, now clearing part of plate & ceiling rafter.
Plan on cutting out & replacing bowed section while supporting roof.
Would appreciate suggestions on how to fill void after teardown, rebuild/ reinforce wall that will resist bowing in future & also minimize seepage.
Garage is about 50 years old , wall always had cracks but bowing has gotten worse last couple of years.
Does not appear to be in danger of collapse
Thanks.
