i got this 100% cotton crochet knit hoodie from pac sun... and on the care tag it says to machine wash in cold water and then dry flat... but i was wondering would putting it in the dryer damage it?
there's a very similar hoodie at forever 21:
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=sweaters&product%5Fid=2041623279&Page=1#
and for this hoodie it says to tumble dry low.
so what could happen if i put my hoodie in the dryer? would it collect those little fuzzy balls on it? or something worse?
thanks for your help. =]

I am trying to instal a new drain line from my tub to the house's main line. I cannot unscrew the original drain from the tub - it is disconnected from the overflow, etc. The drain is a very hard metal, possibly iron - I broke my screwdriver trying to pry it up. I have a Brasscraft drain wrench that I can't get any torque on. (a little background on what I have already tried.) Any suggestions?

I'm renting a new apartment. The apartment is 0K. But the last person who lived here covered up all the windows with tape, and bumper stickers.

I took all the tape off, but there's a lot of stuck-on residue from it. I haven't been able to take off all of the bumper stickers, they are really stuck-on. I tried scratching with keys, but I scratched the glass.

Soap doesn't work, neither does alcohol, I tried lemon, and that didn't work either.

Is there anything that can take off that residue that make the windows look dirty?

When I was young, my mom used to wax our hardwood floors by pouring some clear liquid (Brite?) on them and spreading it with a Swiffer-type thing. It made them VERY shiny, and she didn't have to remove it w/mineral spirits, or buff it or anything. I can't find out what kind of product this was - or if it even exists anymore. I don't want to use paste wax, or a buffer machine, just want shiny wood floors.

I started a new position today. (Yeaaaaaa me!) I am looking for some decorating tips and ideas. My style is very much like Pier One or World Market. Any suggestions on how I can make my area more inviting? It isn't particularly large and I am not one to like clutter. Also, my walls are very short. How can I make the most of what little space I have?

I have several concord grape vines and a few other kinds that I planted last year. I put up wire and pole supports for them and now they are about 3 feet tall. I saw a basic illustration on how to trim the canes back to about 4 main stems. This is what confuses me- if grapes won't grow on old wood, do I cut off the canes that my grapes grow on next year when they are finished and wait for a new cane to grow out and replace it? How many buds should ther be on the whole plant? If I prune too much or too little, will the grapes still grow?
Finally- since we had such a drought this year and the grapes were very dry, if I want them healthy nexy year, should I fertilize them? With what?
thank you,
I'm new to this but I love gardening.
