my husband and I bought a red couch back in may and are still trying to figure out what kind of pillows will go with it. I was thinking of black but he thought that it would take out the color of the couch if anyone has any Ideas please let me know.

I used to live in the nice cool climates of Maine and upstate New York which seem to be made for no reason other than growing apples. But now that I'm in South Carolina, can anyone tell me which varieties grow best here, and any little tips you might have about keeping the trees happy in the hot, hot sun? Temperatures here get up around 100F late in summer.

I live in a NYC apt in an old building that has steam heat. BR is about 13X17 w/10 ft ceilings. I need a humidifier that will really make a dent, as I get terrible respiratory infections from the dry air. Does anyone have recommendations?

I have 600V 12/2 wire with ground running from my circuit breaker box to where I will be installing my baseboard heater. Am I correct in believing that this will support a baseboard heater running on 220V and putting out 2000 Watts? Do I need to do anything special to make it work, besides just hook up the heater. Please help. Thanks.

What cleaning product can I use to return the shine to my hardwood floors? Everything I use (even vinegar and water) leaves a matte film look on the floors and streaks. Thanks.

I just got a partial set of bedroom furniture from my grandparents who passed away. I'd like to start looking on online auctions and flea markets for an armoire to finish the set, but I think that it might help if I was able to figure out more info like the brand, style name, year it was made etc. How would I find this out? It's solid wood (the back too) and it has a huge beveled mirror on the vanity. It's beautiful and worth looking for.

I have recently transplanted some iris and daylillies but have a lot left. We are expecting our first frost tonight (Tenn.). It it okay to store them in the dark garage until spring or do I need to try to plant them immediatley.

If a sliding doors are sold as 60", does that mean the finished opening should be 60" or is that the actual width of the doors?

Hi,
I moved into a new house this summer and the landscaping included a whole lot of really nice hydrangeas. With winter coming, I`m wondering how I should trim them/cover them up before snowfall. The leaves at the base have started to grow yellow already.

I live in montreal, Canada so when winter comes, it really comes.

i have a really reaaly tiny bathroom it has a pinky coloured suite in there i hate pink but cant afford to change the suite at the mo any suggestions on wat colour i could decorate it to make it feel more spacious. my darling but morbid boyfriend suggested black, so im desperate 4 any ideas
