You can machine wash a cotton or plastic shower curtain. For the cloth curtain, wash as you would towels. Dry on low heat. I wash my plastic shower curtain with several towels, a tablespoon of white Vinegar, and detergent. The vinegar makes the plastic curtain soft and disinfects. It will be soaking wet, I take mine and shake it and then just hang it up. I hope this helps.

I do all the time. Even the plastic liner. If washing the plastic liner, wash in cold water on delicate and do not dry! You can ad a Little bleach to inhibit mold growth. The decorative outer curtain should not be bleached unless it's white

Erm, tricky question.
Does the shower curtain have a care label?
If so, I'm sure that would let you know if you can wash it,
and even at what temp.

Whats it made off? If its cotton then a normal wash, if its plastic then a very cool wash and no spin.

are we talking plastic or plastic on cloth?
yes should be ok, but expect it to be a bit rigid if it's all plastic & wash on a delicate wash ( prepare for it to be dripping wet! ).
drain as much water as possible, pat dry & hang it back up straight away.

yes, I wash mine when it gets a little grimy. I just throw it in the washer with some detergent and it cleans it right up.
