I just got a partial set of bedroom furniture from my grandparents who passed away. I'd like to start looking on online auctions and flea markets for an armoire to finish the set, but I think that it might help if I was able to figure out more info like the brand, style name, year it was made etc. How would I find this out? It's solid wood (the back too) and it has a huge beveled mirror on the vanity. It's beautiful and worth looking for.

the only thing that I can find on the other two pieces is "6611 XR" stenciled on and faded (the carpenter's pencil marks are on there as well)

Check the bottoms and sides of the drawers, behind the headboard, or behind the dresser.

Another thing you could do is take a pic and post it, someone that knows furniture or antiques may be able to place it.

Look on the bottom and back of each piece. It might be stamped or stenciled there. Also, look inside the drawers, and on the bottoms or backs of the drawers. If it's a set that has a specific brand/style, it should be stamped, stenciled, or on a sticker somewhere that can't usually be seen.
