I live in Southern California zone 13 and have to grow a garden (preferably with primarily edible plants). It doesn't frost much and tempuratures when its really cold are rarely below 40s.

i am in wisconsin and the leaves of this tree are now a rich red. overall it looks to me like a plum or pear tree, but i dont remember seeing any fruit on it. the leaves are heartshaped, hearty and glossy. several of them are planted in this quite new neighborhood so obviously its a tree that landscapers like to use. do you know what it could be?

Okay, I have finally gathered the nerve to admit that I have HAD IT with my kitchen arrangement. We've lived here for 3 years and have twirled around our plates, silverware, junk drawer, food bags, tin foil, food,cans,boxes,cereal...etc over and over and over again. Nothing we do is tolerable, and what we have now- the set up is just flat out obnoxiuos.
Our kitchen is basically a straight shot, with a little bit of an L shape. The L part includes the sink, dishwaser and one medium cabinet up top. Then to the right of all that we have another smaller cabinet on top with a HUGE cabinet next to it, thats the upper curve. Just below all that we have a 2 layer turn thing. Then o nthe top is a large cabinet, micro and small cabniet and then the fridge. The lower part of that is small drawer, small cabinet below.Stove.Large cabinet below and long drawer above. Fridge. We then have an island on the opposite side, with 2 large cabinets and 2 long drawers. If anyone can picture this . .detailsbelow

Went to Disney's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Tuesday night at Disney World. It poured down raining when we left and we got soaked. Needless to say, the red pirates vest that I was wearing bled into the ivory dress and now I have pinkish stains everywhere on the dress. I've tried prewashing with baking soda and detergent, but it still has pink stains. Anyone know of a "miracle" product that actually works? I've heard a lot about oxyclean or a product by RID, but has anyone ever used them? I hate the fact that the costume seems ruined at this point.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance for your time.

Applying glycerine before plugging fridge was one suggestion, but that made no difference.

I know that if I purchase a stacked portable washer and electric dryer unit I could use it without a laundry hook up in my apartment. But is there anyway to make a full size electric washer & dryer work well without a laundry hook up in the apartment (any way to hook it up like a portable?) .
