I have a smallish kitchen window I would like to put a film or such on so I can see out like normal and let the sunshine in but I don't want people to be able to see in, is there such a thing ? not drapes, but something I can put up that lets the sun in, I can see my flowers, but the neighbors can't see in ? thanks

I've heard that such films eg Gila Film, offer privacy during the day but become the complete opposite at night (ie. You won't be able to see out but others will be able to see in).
There are about 10 types of Gila film...one that blocks Sun(heat), one that blocks UV Rays, one that allows one way viewing etc Gila is a TradeMark.

If this is so, perhaps you could have a fold up shade (eg roman shade or blinds) keep it rolled up during the day and let it down at night.

There is--it's like shelving paper but it's like a 2 way mirror--you can see out but the sun can't come in...don't know what it is called, but ask your local paint store, they will know...

I like sheers...you can't see in during daylight...and at night you can't see in when the light is off.

you can put this type of clear sticky vinyl kind of like contact paper, it has a prism like effect to it and the light dances in when it shines through...but you can't see in at all...downside is you can't see out either..same as if you had a stain glass door.
