This year I raised Canna's for the first time. I noticed after the flowers have wilted there is a small pod that seems to be full of tiny seeds. My question is: Can more Canna's be raised from these seeds (if indeed they are seeds) Thanks

I tried to plunge it out, but it would not come up. It flushes fine now, but I am worried about future problems from this. What do I do?

My elderly father doesn't clean as often as he should because it's hard for him to move around - so I decided to clean his bathroom for him.

Let me tell ya - comet w bleach, heavy duty scouring pads and lots of elbow grease aren't cutting it. (I scrubbed for half an hour)

Any advice? we have real hard water and my father uses regular bar soap....someone told me vinegar, but I cant get it to stay on the sides of the tub (under the soap dish) where it needs the most help....

Suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm using a studfinder to find the studs in a wall, hoping that I can install new towel holders into something stronger than drywall. But they seem to be at 16 inches apart. Is that normal?

The towel holders seem to come in 12 inch multiples. That's just odd.

How old are you? When's the last time you cleaned your room? What's on it right now if it's anything above 0.1%

My room is about 25%: clothes, homework due last week, the crust of a slice of Papa John's sausage pizza.

Since fall is here, the hay has been cut. Now, this doesn't seem like a problem, but for anyone living near hay fields knows that this causes field mice to relocate...usually someplace warm with food (like your house, garage, or storage shed). I have had mouse traps (the old spring type) and the sticky traps, but these mice are avoiding them. I need the mice gone because I have books and materials that they have been feasting on that I need. Anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of these mice?

I've looked at Target- no dice, Walmart doesn't have any patterns I like. I've tried Meijer's and Sears- nothing. Any other ideas on where to buy Corelle in-store? I've tried using their online locator and it doesn't work... thanks!

We have a guinea pig. His bedding is pine shavings. I looked at a previous answer and found that rodent bedding is fine to go into a compost bin.

I cannot have a compost bin outside, due to community regulations. I'm certain that my hubby would be very against having one inside! Finances are tight, so I would not be able to even buy one of those nifty countertop bins, although we are considering saving for one in the future for kitchen waste.

So, my question is: Can I just turn the used shavings (with the guinea pig poop in them) into the soil? We do not have a ton of garden space, as we live in a condo, but I hate to just throw out the stuff if it is usable.

grows in Northern Calif. (zone 9B) Everything so far is not a perrenial, is invasive, looks like a week when not blossoming, or something! I've looked through thousands of flowers! Don't you hate it when you have a certain picture in your mind but nothing matches it? Any suggestions?

I am a food spiller on the clothes and was wondering if it would be worth getting those things or if they really work for when im not home to get the stain out for real

Hi everybody.
I have ruined a number of very expensive bras, panties, and shirts in the washer and dryer. How would you recommend washing lacey bra's and underwear? I'm not even sure if I should dry them or let them air dry?

Thank you very much.

This year my garden sort of failed, due to it being my first one. Next spring though, I want to try again and have it work. What are some great plants that will survive in zone six. We have very hot summers (90-100 degrees) and colder winters. I have lillies already.

Hi I am currently using the top drawer of my dresser for my Xbox 360 while I play it. Im afraid itll overheat because its just cooking in there. Im trying to install some fans in the side to vent it out but the only ones I can find have to be connected to a computer power supply. Im trying to find something small that will run off batteries or plug into an outlet.

Dresser dimensions:
8in Tall
32in Wide
30in Deep

I incorrectly installed a sink drain and it leaks. I cemented all the threads with PVC cement on the new drain and all the existing PVC pipes. Now I need to know if there is a way to get it apart or if I should replace all the PVC pipes under the sink.

I am looking for a "theme" of sorts, without doing the same ole thing you see in everyone's kitchen. My dishes and accessories are these colors: hunter green, olive green, black, brown, and tan. Any neutrals would be perfect, but I'm not sure of what to get. I was reading in an earlier post and liked the pottery idea. I have lots of cabinet top and wall space for decor and currently there is just ivy there. I need other ideas to brainstorm and still keep my colors as the dishes, etc are fairly new. thanks!
