100% cotton things shrink. This should not. But wash in warm water with just a small amount of soap and dry in a warm NOT HOT dryer or even turn the dryer to just air. Do not wash it alone. Add some towels or sheets to even out the load in the washer and in the dryer.

Check the label on the jacket. It should tell you how to wash or to dry clean. If in doubt I would hand wash it in tepid water with a product made for delicates. Rinse and then spin in the washer and either hang or lay flat on a couple of towels to dry.

Use only cold water, a small amt. of soap, and hang to dry. Don't put it in the dryer. Cotton nearly always shrinks.

don't put it in the dryer! you might not shrink it but your mess up the fur on the hood even if it's fake fur it will mess up in the dryer. wash it in the washer and hang dry it and when it's dry run your hand throw the fur to make less stiff.
