I just moved to a three year old house with a large fireplace. A cast iron wood burning/multi fuel stove would fit perfectly in the large opening. My problem is that the stoves I’ve looked at have six inch flue pipe diameters, while the clay liner coming from my chimney has a nine inch diameter. Will I need to have something fabricated or does anyone know a company that has an off the shelf solution that doesn’t cost a fortune?

This is a small bouquet. but has sentimental value, but I do not know how to preseve them, and I really do not want to just press them in a book to wilt.

Do you have any tips for cleaning paintbrushes? I am doing home decorating and using oil or spirit based paint and using too much time, and too much white spirit, cleaning brushes. I have tried using cheap brushes and throwing them after use, but they just don't do the job properly. I am currently using so much spirit that it would be just as easy to throw the good brushes away and keep replacing them. What can I do? Thanks.

I have a large slope that is full of daylilies. While I love them, it is just too much. I would like to kill them off and start fresh. It is just too large of an area to dig. I have tried spraying Roundup on them to kill them, but it didn't work. Does anyone know what will kill them off?

If you know that your gas stove hasn't been heating the way that it should be, just who do you get to regulate it or whatever it is that needs to be done.

There's no peeling it. It was there when we moved in, it's one of the plastic reverse-stick kind and it's stuck fast!

A couple of months ago my husband and I bought a rug from a major dept. store for $650. A week later we decided it didn't work in our living room so we called and cancelled the order and told them to not deliver it and to send us store credit instead. A week later it was sitting on my doorstep. I called the manager and complained and told them they have to come back and get their rug and please send our refund. Two days later we decided it could work in another room. I immediately called the manager and told him that we will just keep it after all. Just recently when I got the mail I saw that the store had accidentally sent us that store credit for the cost of the rug ($650) My husband says just keep it but I don't feel comfortable. What would you do??? It is so tempting but I feel it is wrong. Should we keep it for a future purchase or call and return it?

I've got a futon. It's great. The frame never used to creak. Now it creaks with every movement? Why? I've had it for one year and one quarter year.
