Not sure if I spelled it correctly, but a chimanea is like a miniature outdoor fireplace. They're made in Mexico but looking for someplace in California where I can buy one. Not interested in ordering from a webstore. Thanks.

Every morning, I am the first to wake up and take a shower. Some mornings I have hot water, other mornings I have lukewarm water in which to begin my day. Could it be the water heater or our pipes? Any ideas?

It's about an 11"x4" kitchen, and I'm getting all sorts of crazy bids. How much should this job cost, including labor and materials? Assuming I get pretty cheap vinyl..

I was preping my bathroom so I can paint it. I knew the flooring was not much to look at (when I rented this house) It has been covered with large blue tape. BUT wow I found that underneith it has no flooring it's like rotted wood.
Is there a way I can safely through some cover up cheep flooring over it and I would also need a way to protect myself from mold. And suggestions? MY landlord will not assit, he says my rent is very cheep so I should fix it. Help I can't afford to do a good job. But I can be handy.

We are a family of three including my husband, 12 month old, and myself. I'm looking for a small compost unit that is easy to maintain and can be kept in the kitchen. My plan for the compost is to dispose outside back in the woods to cut down on trash use and be more green. I've looked at the Bokashi system and a junior wormery. I have two cats as well and I'm concerned with the worms with them. What would be the easiest, provide the least compost for disposing outside, and best for the kitchen? Any other suggestions would be helpful. We're a single family income so I'm looking to not have to spend an extreme amout on monies. Thanks.

We bought the house Friday and we are not even done with the yard. We still have the other side of the house to rake up and pull out weeds. In the house we have pulled up all carpet and pulled down all panel. This is a 1860 sq ft home so for two ppl this is alot of sq ft. We have manage to get all of the tac strips up too but we still have to pull out all staples and trust me there are alot. Is there someway I can get stuff done faster that I dont know about. I really dont have any money in my buget to hire anyone and my mom and dad have helped me out. If you could let me know any ideas, any suggestion on how this could be faster process...please let me know.

Okay, those KFC Snacker that look like they have a paper wrapper well it actually is tin foil and I microwaved it and of course it sparked up. Now when I microwave anything the metal part on the top of the microwave sparks up so I have stopped using it. It is one of those microhoods, so I am hesitant to replace it. A simple 50 dollar microwave isnt' optional, I will have to buy another microhood. Anyways, is it worth calling a repairman out? Or is it shot? Obviously sparks aren't good, please don't give me any blonde comments, I know it was a dumb move but is the microwave doomed? :) Thanks !

Should I just replace it now? Or wait until it dies? When the elderly couple that lived here, died, it was discovered that their well was dried up and they had been using an outhouse in the backyard.

*gross* I know. But does this mean they maybe weren't using the water heater and that is why it has lasted so long?

We live in Texas where it gets pretty hot. We will be gone for 11+ hours during the day to come home and it's 83 degrees in the house. Wouldn't it take up more energy to cool the house back down?

Obviously i know one is more powerful than the other but is it worth getting a 9.5kw one and going through the hassle of geeting heavier 10mm cable to fuse box. Is there THAT much difference.

I am currently in the process of buying a home and i need to paint the interior. I am familiar with operating both HVLP and airless type of sprayers, however i am not an expert by any means. I have been looking at Wagner and Spraytech options but am unaware of the quality other than rumours. I plan on buying one of value not a walmart wannabe. I want one that is durable and can handle a workload for i may in the future want to use it for larger jobs. If you have any insight on this sort of thing i would greatly appreciate some advice. If you do indeed reply thank you.

used tampons down the toliet if you have city sewage?? I know not to flush them with a septic tank. My bf says he can't see why not, there is no way it is going to swell to be 4" which is the size of our pipe to the sewage. I know a friend who has for years, but I'm afraid of plugging everything up and having to call a plumber and have them find THAT!

My wife and I think 2 different ways to install toliet paper. I think it should come over the top and she thinks it should come from the bottom. Which way do you think it should be installed.

BTW: This is not ever a issue but a funny quirk we play with. Thanks for your opinion!
