It's about an 11"x4" kitchen, and I'm getting all sorts of crazy bids. How much should this job cost, including labor and materials? Assuming I get pretty cheap vinyl..

I think you made a mistake, you stated 11"X4" Kitchen.
I can't even assume what you mean by this. But, you can use this. Because your getting all "kinds of crazy bids" is because of the market on this type of tile.

The Vinyl itself can run from 50 cents a square foot to four dollars a square foot. And, anywhere in between.

I'll use my floor as an example, maybe it'll help.

It's a 12X 20 floor we put in an Armstrong floor, a so, so floor, I think it was about $200.00 for the entire floor, this included the primer, the glue and the quick-set, my floor had some uneven spots in it but, not bad.

I hope this helps. I have put in cheaper floors for rentals, say around $150.00 so it's going to run anywhere from say $150.00 to whatever you want, some are pretty high. If there's a lot of work like say, the floor is real uneven and has to have cement board put in with level set or, have the floor rebuilt. I have had to do this on some floors that were rotting out, the boards were in such bad shape you could put your foot through the floor. Then, it would go by the hour, charged separately, around $48.00 an hour.

I did as many kitchens as you've worked in.

Pergo flooring will go right over the vinyl. It would run about $3.50 a sq. ft.

Do it yourself. Your kitchen is only half the size of a sheet of paper. You could do it in 10 minutes.
