There were several kinds back in that era that were very popular. There was Bakelite, it was like a dense plastic. Fiesta ware, heavy ceramic like that came in bright colors. There was Pyrex, which is still made today and feels like heavy glass and can be see through or a solid color. The avacado green was probably Pyrex. They made it in a solid white as well as an avacado green.

"Pyrex" is/was 'green' on the outside. There is also the clear type as well.
"Jadeite" is/was green throughout.
"Crown Corning Ware" is/was an 'orange' color with a 'cream' interior finish.
"Bakelite" is/was a dark brown/black color on the outer surface.
I still have some that is now over 60 years old!

Club? I've got a pan my mom bought in 1972 that I use solely for popcorn. When I moved out 16 years ago she gave it to me and it's all I've ever used it for!
