only their hand tools are covered for life, the other stuff is usually like a 1 year warranty, but i'm not sure where a bit would fall... how expensive are the bits? if they cost a lot they might have some type of decent warranty, but if there relatively cheap i doubt it... try asking at sears or where you bought it.. or if they can't answer your questions try looking at the craftsman website, they might be able to help you there..

Craftsman tools are over-rated. There are plenty of cheaper, better tools that are lifetime warrantied. I don't think Sears has EVER guaranteed tool bits.

Only hand tools are warranted for life. So if the bit was used in a power tool, no it would not be warranted.

SAND offers the valid answer.
They may not honor even hand tool damage anymore since they were bought out by a company coming out of bankruptcy/reorg.??????????
Sad for a company over 100 years old.
