Hi I am currently using the top drawer of my dresser for my Xbox 360 while I play it. Im afraid itll overheat because its just cooking in there. Im trying to install some fans in the side to vent it out but the only ones I can find have to be connected to a computer power supply. Im trying to find something small that will run off batteries or plug into an outlet.

Dresser dimensions:
8in Tall
32in Wide
30in Deep

I use a small fan that is about 4-5" tall and plugs into 120v in my tv stand where I have my dvd/vcr and cable box. You can get them at Walmart for $10 and they work great. Well, mine's been running for about 11 months straight. But don't forget to clean it up every time you dust.

There's lots of electronics parts houses that carry AC fans. The most typical sizes are 3" and 6". You can Google it or try Newark, MCM or Allied electronics. Your local RadioShack may also carry something like this. Also, anything that will run off of a computer supply will also run off of batteries. Usually the computer fans run on 12VDC. If you get a 12V battery or combination of batteries that produce 12V you can run the fan off of this. Or, you can get a 12V power supply from RadioShack or one of the aformentioned parts houses and run it off of that. Just cut the plug off of the end and strip the wires, and make sure you get the polarity right.

That's not a good idea, you could burn it up. You might try looking for a small house fan at the store that plugs into outlets, but since it is winter time many of the stores have removed their fans from inventory and replaced them with heaters.

You can find these fans at Wal-Mart but, it's not going to work. All your going to do is push the hotter air around until it gets hotter then around, compounding itself.

I cleaned my PC out real good and then took one side off, made sure the PC was always clean. Kept it in the open.
