1000 square foot home. Estimates seem high, I'd rather just make my bf do it but not sure how much the material will cost?

We just bought our house from my grandparents in February, and the other neighbor moved in 4 months later. One day we came home and he had a bobcat at his house to pull up his driveway (ours are joint) and gave us no notice. From there, has told us he is putting in a driveway even though his driveway is not made wide enough for that, ours is, which means he was pulling down the fence in between our driveways (He told us this would happen in October and would warn us) then we came home yesterday and the fence was down! Also it was a shared cost fence though he is keeping it for himself. Now I came home today and he is building the garage and has cut down some of my tree branches that overhang into his yard (I love my trees by the way) We have NEVER yelled or really said ANYTHING at all. Is it rude or inconsiderate of us to put up a fence 3 inches onto our side of the property - giving him some of our driveway - without telling him considering how much he courtesy/warning he has given us

The movers lost the wooden knobs to my TV armoir and I want to replace them with the exact same ones if possible. I asked this question before and got some answers about calling the manufacturer or looking at knobs on line...but I have tried these already. I don't have the model number and Ashley furniture can't order parts without it. The model number is not anywhere on the furniture either. I looked online for matching knobs, but can't find the exact ones I am looking for. I live in Long Beach, CA and am wondering if anyone knows of any businesses that custom match furniture parts. Thank you!

i poured a concrete floor on a slope for drainage my plan was to put a shower pan liner on top of that and up the wall and tile on top.I have been asking around and i have found out that the tile adhesive wont stick to the plastic liner and i should have in fact put it under the cement is this true? and if so whats my alternative and do i need a liner since its concrete floor and cement board and what if anything do i do where the floor meets the wall.

I have just installed hardibacker for a tile floor on the second floor of my house. One of the seams has a about 1/16" - 1/8" difference in height from the board next to it. What is the best way to level that off? Can I just apply a couple of layers of mortar to even out the height discrepancy? Also, how far apart should the backerboard screws go in? Near the seams, I installed a screw about every 4 inches. In the middle of the boards, I justed the 8" designated on the board itself.

Thanks for your input!

My husband and I are putting new sod in our backyard here in Santa Barbara, CA and want to see if anyone else has used Superior Sod Plus here in Southern California.
Is it drought resistant?
Does it repair itself quickly?
Is it agressive?
How long have you had it?
Why is it better than Marathon II?
Thanks.

we are getting ready to move into a new house, and ive been thinking about how to paint my room. I chose the colors Bavarian Oak (darker brown) with Rose Petal (dark, creamyish pinkish red if that makes since) and Olive Grove ((olivish green). ive been trying to find some bed spread that match this color combination. Anyone have and suggestions? Wedsites and pictures would really help.
