why or why not? And if i put a flower with roots and one without roots in soil, how long would it take for them to die. How long for the one with roots, and how long for the one without roots.

Depends on the plant... some flowering plants, like Spanish moss, Tillandsia usneoides, are essentially rootless except for a short period right after germination. Mosses also lack roots -- they have rhizoids, not roots.

In general, though, flowering plants need roots both as anchorage and as point of entry of water and minerals.

depends on climate, and water the one with roots should live longer, than the one with out, but if the one with out roots develops roots it will live also.

The transpiration process usually happens through the root system. This is how most take up water and energy when photosynthesis occurs.

There are some plants that take in food through tiny stomata on their leaves, rare. (example - air fern).
